Charles Cecil Guyton

Charles Cecil Guyton grew up in Birmingham’s Titusville community, where his family was active in the Civil Rights Movement. He was close friends with two of the girls who were killed in the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church: Denise McNair, whose mother was his third-grade teacher and whose father was his family’s photographer and milkman; and Cynthia Wesley, who, along with Denise, took piano lessons from his aunt.
