Gordon Gibson

Gordon Gibson is a retired Unitarian minister who was heavily involved in the Civil Rights Movement, including working for voter registration in Selma in 1965 and going to jail for participating in the demonstrations. He now leads the annual Living Legacy pilgrimage to Civil Rights landmarks throughout the South. He is the author of Southern Witness: Unitarians and Universalists in the Civil Rights Era, a first-hand account of the UU involvement in the Movement in the 1950s and 1960s.
