Antoine Bell

Antoine Bell is currently President of the Board of Trustees of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Birmingham. He and his wife, Tanya Turner Bell, have been leaders of worship services and other church activities for several years. As long-time African-American citizens of Alabama, they describe the effects of racism and segregation on their families over the years, as well as their personal experiences of both subtle and overt racism in Birmingham today. As members of the still-mostly-white UUCB congregation, they discuss the challenges of connecting to all populations in the city.
